Too much sauce. The flavour was also not good. Service was good.

I enjoyed this and didn't regret my experience. The food was really good, not amazing, but really good. Our table service was good, the table next to us seemed to not be as happy with their service.Overall worth it for the price but not someplace you need to tell everyone to come try it.

This place was amazing so happy we stopped.

Fun streetside dining allowing for great people watching. The food was decent. The staff seemed a little bothered due to the heavy crowds waiting to be seated.

Fresh Ingredients make all the difference. Sauce is simple and amazing, cheese on our pizza may have been made today it tasted so great. Sat outside with great service, good drinks and reasonable prices. Must stop!

Service is very friendly and swift but stay away from the carpaccio: too much oil&vinegar and way too much rucola and barely any beef... The pasta I had was ok, not bad but far from outstanding. The carbonara sauce was disintegrated instead of being smooth but tasted ok.Wondering about the good reviews, did those people have such low standards or am I spoiled being an European visiting Italy often...

Awesome spot on Columbus. Great coffee. Highly recommended.

Authentic Italian restaurant with absolutely delicious food😊 The gamberoni was one of the best ones in my life! Good wine, pasta and dessert made our afternoon even better! Thank you!

Such great authentic Italian food!!!! The experience was amazing from the wine all the way to the desserts. The restaurant is a little small, so I would recommend making a reservation especially if you are going on a Friday or Saturday night.

Absolutely best Italian outside of Roma I have ever had. Waitress was amazing and bi lingual. Perfect patio for people watching. Felt like I was back in Italy

Capricciosa feeds us well. We were super hungry after the Fleet Week Air Show and looking for somewhere to sit down and snack a bit. Piazza Pellegrini was the first one we found as casual and relaxed place when we walked down from Maritime Historical Park to North Beach. Located on the busy Columbus Avenue, it has a small outdoor seating area. We ordered Capricciosa and it was a great choice for two starved men. Mushroom, egg, prosciutto, artichoke hearts & olives made the pizza richly nutritious. It fed two adults very well.

AUTHENTIC!! Is the first word that comes to mind...we ran into this cute little restaurant about 10 years ago and had to make the trip back...

Can you go wrong with Italian food in Little Italy in San Francisco? I haven't experienced it yet. Say more? I shall not.

Fantastic porchetta alla Romana sandwich, they’re still open(during lockdown)for Togo orders and bottles of wine/beer. Great place, really enjoyed the day thanks to them.

Meh, overpriced and not spectacular food. The staff was amazing and I left a big tip because they were really great, if only the food was delicious. I will not return.

Good place, delicious gnocchi with pesto sauce, pizza was perfect.

Good service and great food.

This place was recommended by an Irish man on the BART as the best place for Italian food. He was not lying! Everything tasted so authentic & the people were all so friendly. It has a nice location to people watch. I had the lasagna & bruschetta 10/10 easily the best I've ever had. Try it!

Good Italian food, authentic and delicious. Try the tiramisu - it’s qualified for the Champions League of desserts! (Share it, trust me it’s a load)

I had the salmon pasta and my partner had the spicy penne arbiatta. Both dishes came out very hot and in good time. They were both equally delicious! The day we were there was busy and they seemed to be under staffed so it did take a while to get served.

Fun patio. Decent food, reasonably priced. The bruschetta was very good. Pizza good not great, but solid. Especially at a by the slice place it's pretty good. Enjoyed the aperol spritz. Good music. TV's on patio for sports and things. Overall a fun place to visit in SF and a cool North Beach experience on the casual side.

Nice place. Wait staff was done, not great. Gnocchi was tough. Chicken Marsala was tough and the side vegetables were flat tasting. Location is good, across the street from a nice square. Probably would try something else next time.

An unexpected culinary treat in the heart of San Francisco downtown with walkable distance to Fisherman's Wharf. Find any excuse you can to go here for a dining experience, just make sure you keep your mind open - they won't steer you wrong.

This place is fantastic...great location, friendly service and the food was great. We customized both of our orders and they had no problem making exactly what we asked for!

Wonderful! Perfect! Delicious and a taste of Italy. Thrilled to sit outside on a glorious day looking at Saint Peter and Paul's School. Good Prosecco, tasty salad, perfect bread, and friendly service.

My wife and I were in the external area where there is a big TV to watch games. The place is small with different sitting options: tables and chairs, some high stools and a small counter with small backless seats. It's comfortable, but not for long periods. There is an internal area with proper tables/chairs, but we didn't go there. You order directly in a counter and wait to be ready. The pizza slices and beer you take right away, but the sandwiches you wait for him to scream your number. heheI had a Caprese sandwich that was very tasty, especially the seasoning. Plus a Bluemoon beer where there is no mistake. :)The price is on average/acceptable.The entrance is accessible for wheelchairs, but I believe the external area could be tricky since there isn't much space to move around.

This is a great place for authentic Italian food. On my visit I had their handmade crab ravioli. My wife had the lobster ravioli. Both were pricey, but delicious. We topped it off with a carafe of house wine. The service was good given how busy it was. Try to get a seat outside so you can people watch. Unfortunately we weren't able to on this visit.

We are visiting the city and thought we would do an Italian food crawl through North Beach area. We started and stayed at Piazza Pellegrini! The staff was very professional but friendly. The food was amazing! And fresh. Great job!

We spotted this restaurant while rushing our way to cover as many attractions in San Francisco as possible before our flight back. This restaurant is just right by the roadside surrounded by other fantastic Italian restaurant. The sauce from meatball fettuccine is fantastic and out of this world and the gnocchi is absolutely amazing. Perfect to pair with a carafe of red wine. I would suggest you to pick the outdoor seat if you love to watch the local's daily routine/ walk. :)

Fantastic pizza and pasta. The pizza was big enough for two. Even after we walked 5 miles and skipped lunch. Cool decor and great service.

Good food, pasta was very bland but chicken was flavorful

Minestrone that warms your heart and amazing vongole linguine! The linguine is tasty, fragrant with garlic, wine and generous serving of clams. Reminded me of the one I had in Italy.I was around the area and randomly picked Pellegrini for lunch. Glad that I did!The guys are accommodating, service is swift, and the foods are exquisite. Truly delightful experience. The location is also excellent, perfect for people watching while you're having your meal.Definitely 5/5 and will come back again.

Real Italian food cooked by Italians. Make sure to check this place out in the heart of North Beach. My waiter barely spoke English and lots of Italian just the way I like it.
Daniel Costantini
I've mainly had the pasta, but it's always been amazing. Good espresso, too.
Sarah Rzepka
Great, climatic place with delicious food! Stuff is really kind and amazing. I will come back for sure!

All about the gnocchi! Everything was delicious and loved the quaint atmosphere. Will definitely return on our next visit.

We just happened to drop in after “several†cocktails, and the food and service was outstanding! My wife had the steak, and I had the lobster ravioli. Everything was wonderful!

Great food and cute venue. Don't pass it by!

Very good. Great service. The portion were a bit small but perfect for no leftovers. Heated patio. Overall would go back. Not stingy with the bread!

THE BEST RESTAURANT ON THE PLANET!!!! This is a place that makes you feel like you are actually in Italy, If you don't believe me GO THEIR! Ps: Great food!

When I first went to the restaurant 5 years ago, it was easy to find a place to sit and eat, we went there 4 times in 3 days. Now you need a reservation, glad to see they are still around and doing well. Great food, great staff.

Good food the service a little slow only 1 waiter was working

The pizzas are ok. Not too bad, not too good. The pastas were bad, however, I'd like to let everyone that this experience was based on veggie pastas. We ordered Marinara Gnocchi and Spinach Ravioli. While the Spinach still had that raw, leafy, uncooked spinach taste to it, marinara tasted more like tomato ketchup. Both the pastas were bland with no to very little flavors. The only distinct taste I got was that of oil.
Monica Sansi
Beautiful authentic italian place. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is excellent too, and waiters very friendly. We vot seatig outside and the view of the church across was amazing. Must visit.

It was wonderful experience. Didn't plan to go this place but I could feel this place has something ;) Luckily I was right then enjoyed nice food here. Especially, a salad comes with blue cheese with pear was unexpectedly amazing. Nice food, service and atmosphere. It's worthy.

The service was really good! The waiters were excellent. I really liked the pizza crust but the sauce and ingredients didn't have much flavor. The size of the portion is good to share if you're having something else, otherwise is just for one. The sangria wasn't good. The prices are in pretty much like other places, arround $20 per person.
